  Terrible service! Was charged for four golfers when only three were playing. Had to catch mistake and get refund on spot. Didn't tee off on time, had a 3 hour and 30 minutes for 9 holes! No marshal, called course to have someone come out and nothing changed. Came into club house asked for 1/2 of our money back, course refused. Said they couldn't give refund as computer wouldn't allow it however they gave refund before the round even started. Course attendant said "its like this here every Saturday." Will not go back! Not worth the money or hassle, recommend no one else attend either.

  Excellent course, excellent condition, fantastic dining room and food. Cheap to play. Anyone who has written a negative review probably has a negative outlook on life and complains about everything. Don't take my word for it - I would suggest coming out and making the decision yourself about this course.

  As described, we were completely soaked by the sprinklers while putting on the tenth green. Wallets, clubs, phones all the usual things that most people bring with them these days in 2016. When it was brought to the owner, Sandy's attention we were met with "it's golf etiquette to not have your phone on the course." Can I suggest to you, Sandy that should a medical emergency occur on your course, your property, that is not equipped with a defibrillator, that you may want someone with a phone that can call for assistance. Just a thought. After explaining the sentimental value of my phone in photos of my children and precious moments, she handed me a bag of rice. "This should do the trick" Well Sandy I hope this review does "The Trick"

  The Course was a little rough when the Smardenka family initially took ownership because of the previous owners' neglect. However this course is quickly turning around in the right direction. A world class superintendent has been hired and he is working hard. He comes from Oslerbrook GC - anyone who has played there knows how good the condition of that course is. Marlwood also has new world class John Deere cutting and maintenance equipment - the owner's have a passion for golf and have played at the best golf courses in the world - they appreciate a great course and respect the game. The clubhouse was just completely renovated and will also be a culinary hot spot. 2016 will be a promising year - Top notch greens, rolling fairways, excellent bunkers, and a team who knows how to make they best of what they have got.

  A course that has now been improved so much in 2015 to 2016, under new ownership that anyone who has played there before needs to come and take a look. The new greens keeper is doing a great job from tee to green. Traps need more sand but that will come. The transformation of the bar and dining area is so good that we have moved our 50th wedding anniversary there this September. Better than average course..friendly and efficient staff...brand new dining area...spacious patio with gorgeous view over the lake. What's not to like???
